Terms of Service

By accessing or using Cloud Idler ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Cloud Idler is a cloud-based service that allows users to accumulate playtime hours on Steam games without running them locally. The Service operates by maintaining authenticated sessions with Steam on behalf of the user.

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information as necessary.

To use the Service, you must provide your Steam account credentials. By doing so, you acknowledge and agree that:

• You are the rightful owner of the Steam account you provide.
• You authorize Cloud Idler to log into your Steam account on your behalf for the sole purpose of idling games.
• Your credentials are encrypted using AES-256-GCM encryption and stored securely.
• Cloud Idler will never use your credentials for any purpose other than the stated service functionality.
• You are solely responsible for any consequences arising from the use of your Steam account with this Service.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
• Use the Service to idle games you do not own or have legitimate access to.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or related systems.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service.
• Use the Service to engage in any form of fraud, including but not limited to manipulating Steam trading card drops for profit.
• Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the Service without written permission.
• Use automated tools to interact with the Service beyond its intended interface.

Cloud Idler is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to Valve Corporation or Steam in any way. Steam is a registered trademark of Valve Corporation. Your use of Steam is governed by Steam's own Subscriber Agreement and policies. Cloud Idler is not responsible for any actions taken by Valve or Steam regarding your account, including but not limited to account restrictions, suspensions, or bans.

The Service offers free and paid subscription tiers. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to pay the applicable fees. Subscriptions are billed on a recurring monthly basis. You may cancel your subscription at any time, and cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any losses resulting from service interruptions, including but not limited to lost idling time.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CLOUD IDLER AND ITS OPERATORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT ANY DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Cloud Idler and its operators from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may delete your account at any time from the dashboard settings. Upon account deletion, all associated data including stored credentials will be permanently removed.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Cloud Idler operates, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of the applicable jurisdiction.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.
